The Happy Hearts ministry originated in April, 2009 and is commissioned to provide spiritual, recreational, and social enhancements of the 50-and-over-gang at the church. We plan social gatherings, day trips, dinners, and other activities to provide a feeling of ownership by the participants. We will plan specific activities for each month throughout the calendar year and will have a quarterly luncheon to discuss the direction of the group with the participants. The group is overseen by a "Steering Committee' responsible for presenting and scheduling the various activities for group consideration and approval.

We also in 2010 began overseeing the Food Pantry Ministry of the church. The Food Pantry is open for assistance each Monday from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. It is manned by members of the Happy Hearts ministry. This provides food assistance to needy families within our community as well as an opportunity to be a witness. This effort is coordinated by Tom and Dohreen Winkler.
