The Buffalo Trail Baptist Mission was founded in 1948.When the church was founded it was a church to reach Morristown and the Lakeway Area with the gospel of Jesus Christ and that same vision remains today.

Cornerstone Cermony for the first Sanctuary was October 28, 1951.
Groundbreaking for the Education Building was held September 2, 1956.
Groundbreaking for the 1991 Sanctuary was held August 12, 1990.
Lighting the Way, Enlarge and Enrich Campaign started April 20, 2008.
